If you’ve wondered about the vanishing honeybee population, catch the documentary Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us? screening at 8 p.m. Friday at Oklahoma River’s Chesapeake Finish Line Tower, 725 S. Lincoln. Come early for live bluegrass from Honey Creek Pass at 6:30 p.m., and stick around to hear Bees producer Jon Betz at 9:30 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required at chk.com/events/queen-of-the-sun.

Isn’t it about time for a Big Kahuna? You bet it is, now that White Water Bay, 3908 W. Reno, is open for that swelterin’ season called summer. The Big Kahuna is the state’s largest family-friendly raft ride, but get wet in the lazy river, the waterslides or the 500,000-gallon wave pool.
