Restaurant, sweet restaurant

These old-timers are mainstays of the metro restaurant scene.

Food and Drink Features

Carol Smaglinski
Our ever-changing restaurant scene keeps forging ahead and paving the foodie way. But it is the incredibly long-standing, seasoned spots that hit the right notes with its customers and draw them back again and again. There’s nothing better than reliability and comfort food.

International intrigue looms large at several Oklahoma City dining locales. Fortunately, there is no need for a passport to embark on this culinary adventure. Simply let your palate exhibit wanderlust for some remarkably unusual but tasty dishes.

Super party

Features

Jenn Scott
Despite several efforts to generate some amount of care, I really have absolutely no interest in organized sports. That being said, I can always get behind a good party … even one centered around a pigskin. For an anti-sports type like myself, the Super Bowl is prime bonding and partying time.

Sicilian nose

The black grape of Italy is no longer the black sheep.

Food and Drink Features

Greg Horton
Think of a delicious Cru Beuajolais: bright-red fruit upfront, great balance and that smoky tar finish that takes a light wine and makes it serious.

What works: The pad thai and chicken chili paste are great.
What needs work: The heater, apparently. It was chilly in there.
Tips: They used to have a lunch buffet. They don’t have a lunch buffet anymore. Just order off the menu. It’s worth it.
