The Spy returns to radio

After an abrupt jump from the airwaves to an online-only model, the locally loved The Spy is returning to terrestrial radio. Beginning Aug. 20, The Spy will live from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on KOSU, the NPR station that serves the Oklahoma City metro at 91.7 on the FM dial.

Festival alert! From noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, the 17th annual Mesta Festa takes place in Perle Mesta Park, 1900 N. Shartel, with a chili cookoff, OKC Thunder Girls, OKC Barons Ice Girls, street hockey, hands-on science experiments, local food vendors, live music, children’s activities ... and oh, yeah: local microbrewery beer tastings! Admission is free. Visit mestapark.org.
