Recently, an Oklahoma County district judge ruled the secrecy element of
the state’s lethal injection death penalty process was
unconstitutional. According to the law, the exact components of the
three-drug cocktail used to execute death row inmates are supposed to be
confidential. The secrecy has extended to the drug supplier as well as
the name of the executioner.

Following Thursday’s 40-minute hearing in front of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Oklahoma will now wait for a ruling on whether its ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.
