Watching 5K runners is kinda boring. Watching 5K runners being pelted with rainbow powder every five minutes, however? Son, that’s surefire entertainment. This year benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Color Me Rad bursts into vibrancy at 9 a.m. Saturday at State Fair Park, 3001 General Pershing. Visit colormerad.com.

Despite the show’s title, a whistling rendition of “Sweet Georgia Brown” will not be part of A Globetrotter’s Guide to the Orchestra. But since it’s the season finale of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, you can expect “Adagio for Strings,” and that’s pretty catchy in its own right. You be the judge at 8 p.m. Saturday at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $15- $52. Call 842-5387 or visit okcphilharmonic.org.

We’re guessing not every release party entails hanging by hooks and lying on broken glass. Of course, not everybody is The Captain’s Sideshow. The local group celebrates its own DVD with a shindig from 9 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at Voodoo Lounge, 530 S. Broadway. Special guests include Gunpowder Junkies, Gog and Cutthroat Freak Show. Call 237-2803.
