Wish Lists

News

Gazette staff
What do local notables want this holiday season? Well, Oklahoma Gazette asked ’em. And they told us. Imagine that!  We passed along these lists to Mr. Claus to do with as he sees fit. But for now, we’re reading the list — some of it twice, because it’s that good. We talked to everyone from adult film stars to leading conservative politicians to get insight — and a laugh — from our leading locals. Happy holidays! — Jennifer Chancellor

Kings of leon sing about Okie ties

CFN

Gazette staff
While beloved by many, August: Osage County hasn’t exactly won over critics … here in Oklahoma, anyway. It’s fitting, then, that the star-studded film’s soundtrack features an Oklahoma band (kinda-sorta) in Kings of Leon, who, similarly, are as polarizing as the movie itself.
