You know what’s synonymous with winter? Quilts. Specifically handmade quilts. That’s why you should go to the OKC Winter Quilt Show, the largest quilt and sewing expo in Oklahoma, benefitting Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Cox Pavilion in State Fair Park, 3001 General Pershing Blvd. One-day passes are $10, and threeday passes are $20. You like to read, right? (Of course you do; you’re reading right now. Duh!) Then join your friends at the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System’s annual book sale, where you can peruse hundreds of thousands of books, magazines and more, many for $1 or less. The sale is open to the general public 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Oklahoma Expo Hall on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, 3001 General Pershing Blvd. Call 606-3763 or visit metrolibrary.org.
