Metalheads should find Wretched anything but. The deathcore band from North Carolina plays Tuesday at The Chameleon Room, 3034 N. Portland. The group threatens to “devastate and destroy all naysayers,” so you’ve been warned. Son of Perdition is its latest album, not to be confused with that Tom Hanks movie where he wore the hat. Tickets are $10- $13. Call 537-8136 or visit ticketstorm.com.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a band that embodies St. Patrick’s Day more than Dropkick Murphys. It makes perfect sense, then, that they would launch a St. Patrick’s Day-themed tour. You can see them with Lucero and Skinny Lister 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Diamond Ballroom, 8001 S. Eastern Ave. Tickets are $23-$28. Call (866)977-6849 or visit protix.com.
