Rational on climate change

Letters to the Editor

Mike Brake
Robin Meyers uses the terms “idiot” and “criminal” to describe Sen. Jim Inhofe’s opposition to prevailing theories of climate change (Commentary, “An embarrassment of a senator,” Oct. 3, Oklahoma Gazette), which suppose that man-made greenhouse gases are responsible for upward trends in global temperatures. That is unfortunate; it is rarely helpful to personally denigrate those with differing views, and it avoids a real look at issues more complicated than either Inhofe or Meyers seems to understand.

The Right to Love: An American Family

A documentary follows one gay couple’s fight for ‘The Right to Love.’

Documentary

Rod Lott
Just handfuls of hours ago, as part of Election Day, the Senate gained its first openly gay senator. Even to a heterosexual male like me, the win of Wisconsin’s Tammy Baldwin is an encouraging step that our country is slowly starting to accept that we aren’t all alike, that differences should be celebrated, rather than feared.
