Nearly 2,800 Oklahomans qualifying for Medicare have not been informed or enrolled due to yet another glitch in the federal insurance marketplace system. Applicants have been using the healthcare.gov website since Oct. 1, and usually, qualifying patients’ information is automatically sent to each state’s health care authority so applicants only have to fill out one set of forms to apply.

Wilshire Gun shooting range might soon start serving alcohol on its premises.

The city council approved an alcohol permit for Wilshire Gun shooting range, 615 W. Wilshire Blvd., last week. Jeff Swanson, representing Wilshire Gun, said the shooting range would not allow customers to handle firearms after they had a drink of alcohol. Driver’s license scans would be used to monitor those who drink, Swanson said.
