Come celebrate with Oklahoma Gazette from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Lower Bricktown. We’ve roped in The Damn Quails to provide live music, with singer-songwriter Gabriel Kelley opening. Admission is free, because we love our readers!

Did you think I’d crumble? Did you think I’d lay down and die? If those defiant lyrics get your feet a-tapping, cruise on down to the Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker, for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Disco Days and Boogie Nights. At 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jack Everly will conduct such ’70s smashes as “I Will Survive,” “American Pie” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Tickets are $25- $52. One might think that after 123 years, the Oklahoma City Police Department would have a lot of history to share. It does! Now on display from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at City Hall, 200 N. Walker, is just that, with photos, documents and historical items, including a bomb suit and robot from the 1980s, an armored vest from the 1930s and a saddle used by the Mounted Patrol division. Admission is free. Call 297-2391.
