The 5k run and walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Midwest City Community Center, 200 N. Midwest Blvd. in Midwest City. Registration on the date of the event is $30 and includes a post-run pancake breakfast. Call 739-1293 or visit

An OKC staple, the Paseo Gallery Walk is especially festive this time of year, with a unique display of luminarias lining Paseo Street and a lighted tree courtesy of sculptor Collin Rosebrook. Need more? There will be live music, special holiday exhibits and sales — all within walking distance. Walk 6-10 p.m. Friday in the Paseo Arts District. Call 525-2688 or visit
