Nothing gets people testy like test-taking, especially when accessing the test becomes a sort of test in itself. That was the case last month for 9,100 Oklahoma students in sixth through 12 grade whose scores on online tests were invalidated because of a technological snafu.

OKCFC plans to make Yukon Millers Stadium its home turf for soccer games

The Oklahoma City Football Club (OKC FC) announced today that the soccer team signed a multiyear lease with the Yukon Public School Board of Education to play at Yukon Millers Stadium. The team expects to be ready for the 2015 North American Soccer League (NASL) season, which begins in April, team organizers said in a Tuesday press statement.

As the iconic American film Team America: World Police so adeptly pointed out, freedom isn’t free. But Freedom Fest, the two-day celebration of the good ol’ U.S. of A., is as free as it gets. The event features live music, a children’s parade, fireworks (duh) and more, beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday at Yukon City Park, 2200 S. Holly Ave., and Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W.
