A prosperous local economy fueled by new jobs, the MAPS brand and a unified spirit among residents is keeping Oklahoma City in the national spotlight, Mayor Mick Cornett said Wednesday during the annual State of the City speech.
UPDATE: At a Thursday committee
hearing, House Bill 3028 passed with a vote of 6-5, meaning that a
proposal to consolidate the Oklahoma Arts Council and Oklahoma History
Center with the Tourism, History and Cultural Department may go up for a
full vote in the House at any time.
