Calm down, Ayn Rand devotees — it’s not that kind of tea party.
The University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History invites the
public to its fourth annual Tee Party, starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at
Fred Jones Art Center, 540 Parrington Oval in Norman. Bring a T-shirt,
tote bag or pillowcase to be printed with exclusive designs; watch
printmaking demos; and enjoy pizza and soda while you’re at it.
Admission is free. Call 325-2691 or visit art.ou.edu.
Thriller Rod Lott Rites of Passage's
box art of boring actors’ faces should switch with the illustration
adorning the actual disc: a play on the ol' skull and crossbones logo,
but using a sock monkey and shotguns. That's what convinced me
the film might be worth its 102 minutes. Ultimately, it's not, but its
first half makes for an interesting mess.

Jackson, the 1950s’ Queen of Rockabilly who set the standard for rock
’n’ roll women and even managed to get Elvis Presley hot and bothered,
is back with Unfinished Business.

Drama Phil Bacharach
John Hughes, for all the love people heap on his ’80s teen movies, was far too easy on high school. Maybe your high school experience was different than mine — and, if so, congrats. For many of us, however, those years were a marathon of self-pity, heartache, passion and anything else you’d find on an album by The Smiths.
