Red Dirt renegade Cody Canada returns to town with his new band, The Departed, for a 7 p.m. Thursday outdoor concert at Pepe Delgados, 786 Asp in Norman. Formerly the front man of the Yukon-based Cross Canadian Ragweed, Canada and company are touring in support of their forthcoming album, Adventus, due Nov. 13. Uncle Lucius opens. Admission is $5. For the eighth year, the Red Feather Gala will be held to celebrate Native culture. That’s when the venue at 3005-A Paseo debuts the exhibit devoted to that color with a free reception from 6 to 10 p.m. Featuring 12 artists working in a variety of media, Seeing Red runs through Feb. 24. Radio gets ‘Red’ again

‘The Red Dirt Radio Hour’ returns to airwaves, thanks to KOSU.

After more than five years of silence, The Red Dirt Radio Hour has returned to the airwaves. The show, which features artists of the Red Dirt genre, has found a new home at 9 p.m. Sundays on KOSU. Based in Stillwater, the public radio station also airs on 91.7 FM in Oklahoma City and streams online at kosu.org.
