To commemorate National Fishing Week, the city of Oklahoma City will allow anglers to fish Lakes Hefner, Overholser and Draper — not to mention select city parks — without obtaining fishing permits or licenses. We won’t tell the bass, walleye, crappie and catfish if you won’t. Visit okc.gov/parks.

OKG7 things to do

Gazette staff

Derby Week continues through Sunday at Remington Park, 1 Remington Place, with a variety of “thorough” activities to kick off the thoroughbred racing season. For example, a disco party at 9 p.m. Thursday, a stable tour at 9 a.m. Sunday and the ever-brimming Oklahoma Derby Hat Contest at 2 p.m. Sunday, to name just a few. Call 424-1000 or visit remingtonpark.com.
