Payback politics?

Who knew weather had, as Stephen Colbert might say, a well-known political bias? That seemed to be the case last week as the tornado that leveled Moore also reignited a long-running debate in Washington, D.C., over federal spending for emergencies. LETTERS

Republicans are angry elitists

Letters to the Editor

Nathaniel Batchelder
Republicans like Jonathan Small (Commentary, “The problem is cost, not coverage,” Oct. 9, Gazette) have shut down the government and threaten default on America’s debts because they could not get their way by legitimate means on three issues.
