Davy Jones, front man for The Monkees, one of the 1960s’ most beloved pop groups, died today of a heart attack in Indiantown, Fla., where he resided. He was 66.

Oklahoma City University closes its theater season with a steampunk version of the cutthroat musical Sweeney Todd. You’ll never see a more melodious, maniacal barber than at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, or 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bass School of Music’s Kirkpatrick Auditorium, 2501 N. Blackwelder. Tickets are $12-$25.
