No doubt, the story behind the 1976 film Snuff is more interesting than the story within it. (I suspect that'd be the case even if Snuff's filmmakers had bothered with plot at all.)
Riotous as they are, the Jackass movies have not been immune to the law of diminishing returns — in terms of laughs, not box office. That the fourth feature, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, is the funniest since the first, 2002's Jackass: The Movie, is something of an unexpected achievement.
ABC's attempt at turning Will Eisner's iconic comic The Spirit into a TV series in 1987 may not have passed the pilot stage, but it sure beats Frank Miller's misbegotten $60 million feature-film treatment of 2008. If you missed the one-hour episode the first time around — and most of us did, which is why the series ended as it soon as it started — Warner Archive comes to the rescue.
