In its last fiscal year, the Oklahoma City Zoo set an attendance record of 982,721. Well, kiss that number goodbye, because with this fiscal year that ended June 30, the zoo smashed it like a human head under an elephant’s foot!

For the eighth year, the Red Feather Gala will be held to celebrate Native culture. From 7 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens, the charity event features dinner, drinks, live paintings, auctions, a friendship dance led by a ceremonial drum, a salute to former Lt. For the 11th year, the Norman Ballet Company presents The Oklahoma Nutcracker, which sets the Tchaikovsky classic in the Overholser Mansion.
