Letters to the Editor

Kelly Kossuth
Typically, I look forward to reading Oklahoma Gazette each week, but this week, I was pretty surprised and disappointed to read about the “Ex-gay brigade” (News, Sept. 11), or as I shall call it as I see it, the “bully brigade.”

LETTERS

Letters to the Editor

Richard Hardin
Ref: “On the right side of history” by Adam Soltani (Commentary, Aug. 28, Gazette). Our freedom of religion in this country has always allowed us to criticize other religions, even the Pope, and has allowed us to try to explain our religion to others in hopes they will join ours, which we, naturally, think is the best.

Letters to the Editor

Wanda Jo Stapleton
Thanks for publishing that great commentary (Sept. 11, Gazette) titled “Contraception empowers women” by Ryan Kiesel. Kiesel said that Oklahoma legislators passed an amendment to “limit access to emergency contraception in Oklahoma.” Limiting access to emergency contraception would undoubtedly mean more unintended pregnancies, thus the likelihood of more abortions — abortions which these same legislators fanatically oppose! What a revolting development!

I have to express my complete disdain and frustration in regards to your “Best of OKC” awards (Life, Aug. 21, Gazette).

Letters to the Editor

Susan Schmidt
My husband and I are volunteers, ushering regularly at the Civic Center for the past 7 years. We found the current production of Wicked to be among the top two shows we have seen in 7 years, second only to The Lion King.

Is that the silhouette of a flying pig I see by the light of a blue moon? Or did this conservative reader agree with something Rev. Robin Myers penned in Oklahoma Gazette?

Shelley Reeves
I am sorry. I am sorry for my lack of concern for the state of the Oklahoma Public Schools until it affected my child directly.

Stage center isn’t dead yet

Letters to the Editor

Tim Parker
Stage Center has “outlived its use”? (News, “Center stage,” Sept. 18, Oklahoma Gazette) That comes from a man with an agenda (Kestrel Investments Management Corporation president Rainey Williams).

Planned Parenthood prevents abortions

Letters to the Editor

Nathaniel Batchelder
I have learned that 99 percent of Planned Parenthood’s budget probably goes for programs that extend health and contraceptive services to women in need.

Barbarians at the gates

Letters to the Editor

D.W. Tiffee
Ya have to love the Grand Old Tea Party these days. Fresh off being trounced by a black “Muslim-Kenyan-Socialist,” the unrepentant loonies are at it again, closing down the federal government until the president caves on their perpetual crusade to kill Obamacare (41-plus times and counting).
