The Imposter

Too good to be true, and yet ...

Documentary

Rod Lott
Although now I can’t remember the publication, I recall reading an article about con artist Frédéric Bourdin and thinking, “This would make a really good documentary.” A few years later, The Imposter is that documentary.

Lockout

Like a lot of action in your sci-fi? 'Lock' it up!

Sci-Fi

Rod Lott
No matter in what capacity, if Luc Besson's name is on a movie, I will not hesitate to watch. Why? The Transporter, District 13, Kiss of the Dragon, Taken, Unleashed, Ong-Bak, The Professional, La Femme Nikita and most sequels that spawned from those, that's why. (I'll forgive and forget From Paris with Love.)

K-11

Bar none, a one-of-a-kind kick.

Drama

Rod Lott
How weird that K-11 is attracting more attention for who the director is (the mother of Twilight starlet Kristen Stewart) than for its outlandish subject matter (transgendered inmates). That oversight is as insane as this movie, new to VOD.

Action

Rod Lott
Not only is The Sweeney one of the best TV-to-film adaptations in history, but quite possibly the best adaptation of a TV series you’ve never heard of ... unless you’re British.

In the city

Student teachers prepare for urban classrooms through an innovative program at UCO.

News

Rachael Cervenka
Barbara Gonzales was eager to teach in urban schools, but the Moore native realized she was only vaguely aware of the diverse challenges she’d face in that environment. That’s why the elementary education major at the University of Central Oklahoma decided to forgo the traditional student-teaching route and opt instead for UCO’s Urban Teacher Preparation Academy, or UTPA.
