For the eighth year, the Red Feather Gala will be held to celebrate Native culture. From 7 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens, the charity event features dinner, drinks, live paintings, auctions, a friendship dance led by a ceremonial drum, a salute to former Lt. For the 11th year, the Norman Ballet Company presents The Oklahoma Nutcracker, which sets the Tchaikovsky classic in the Overholser Mansion. Featuring guest dancers from the Tulsa Ballet, the production is set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the Nancy O’Brian Center for the Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman in Norman. Tickets are $20. Looks like 2013 will be colorful, judging from Tribes 131’s calendar. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, the gallery at 131 24th Ave. N.W. in Norman hosts its 19th annual calendar signing.
