It’s not often you get a chance to dress up like a zombie, look at killer art, listen to a live DJ and give back to the community all in one night. The grand opening of Grease Trap Gallery, 5100 N. Classen Blvd., begins at 7 p.m. Artists include Matty Zoob and Brandi Von Black, with Colin Nance DJing downstairs at Drunken Fry. Admission is free. Call 625-9100 or (580) 512-5191.

Are you inspired by the little things in life? So is Argentinian-born artist Ana Maria Hernando and her new exhibit, The Illuminated Garden. The opening reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eleanor Kirkpatrick Gallery inside the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, 3000 General Pershing Blvd. The event is free and open to the public. Hot on the well-pixelated heels of its last exhibition, the video game-themed Art of Bits/Bits of Art, the Istvan Gallery once again finds itself in geeky territory with its latest art show, The Art of the Comic Book. For gallery owner and curator Stephen Kovash, who learned to draw from comic books, it’s a chance to give Oklahoma City a new perspective on what has long been considered low-brow art by outsiders.
