Some people tell us that meat is murder, but in Eli Roth's "Hostel: Part II," meat is also torture and humiliation. And people are the meat. Roth returns to the torture garden in Slovakia, where rich degenerates pay huge sums of money to torment, mutilate and ultimately kill kidnapped young adults. Americans seem to be especially desirable targets of international hatred. Now why do you suppose ... ?
This time, three young ladies are led to the slaughter, but attention is also paid this time to a pair of guys who are making their first trip to the killing ground with murder in mind. Parts of the movie are hard to watch, especially on a full stomach "? eat on the way home, if you still want to "? but Roth's talent for black humor is as intact as his eye for really nasty weaponry.
If you liked the first one, this one is better. If you didn't like the first one, this one is still better, but don't see it anyway. R
