The newly opened RedPin Bowling Lounge at 200 S. Oklahoma sports 10 lanes, restaurant seating for 100 people and a full bar, just north of Harkins Bricktown Cinemas, on the canal level.
Managing partner Erin Brewer said she and her husband read an article a few years ago about a similar bowling lounge/restaurant concept in Florida and were "really intrigued."
"The more we talked about it, the more people also thought it was a fun idea," Brewer said. "Most major cities have an upscale restaurant and hip bowling lounge in place. We became convinced that Bricktown needed one of these."
EXPERIENCE
They waited for "the perfect location" befitting of the RedPin experience, which Brewer said includes having a waitperson even if attendees are just bowling; RedPin's shoes are custom-made and delivered to players on a tray.
"There's nothing plastic about this place. It's all sofas and chandeliers and cocktail tables," she said, noting the place includes a 60-foot video wall and automatic bumpers that sense when kids are playing.
RED Prime Steak Executive Chef Robert Black designed RedPin's menu of "gourmet finger food," which includes pizzas, nachos and desserts. It all combines to what Brewer said is a unique entertainment experience.
"Everybody feels at home here, because everybody can bowl," she said.
