Tulsa's ORU reaches settlement with former professors

Tulsa-based Oral Roberts University recently reached a settlement agreement with two former professors, according to a story by The Associated Press. The former profs, Tim and Paulita Brooker, alleged they were forced out after uncovering "financial and ethical wrongdoing by the school's former president and family," according to the story. Sent out to pasture from the flock, eh?

For those with a short memory, President Richard Roberts and his wife, Lindsay, were reportedly accused of using the university's coffers to supplement shopping sprees, vacations, home improvements and a stable full of (God-fearing?) horses. Now, what would Jesus say to that?

Roberts, the son of university founder and televangelist Oral Roberts, stepped down after the allegations came out, according to the AP, but the whole Roberts fam has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Said Tim Brookers, "After a year in limbo, it's nice to have some resolution to this." He wouldn't discuss the terms of the settlement, but we're wondering if he may be doing another type of limbo on a beach somewhere pretty soon.
