See, he's not your everyday schizophrenic, but a supernatural one, playing host to a half-dozen souls (hence the title) sharing one common thread: They were murdered.

It's an intriguing idea, and for a while, co-directors Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein (Underworld: Awakening) do it justice. Alas, it cannot last. Once the story moves into the territory of faith healers and their hoodoo-voodoo, no number of oozing back bumps or dirt-vomiting characters can save it — although Moore's presence elevates it. Mårlind and Stein’s directorial approach to thrills seems to be limited to SUDDEN LOUD NOISES!

I do not know why 6 Souls, copyrighted as a 2010 production, took this long to see a release, but I can make an educated guess. It looks and feels like a straight-to-video sequel. Accordingly, Anchor Bay Entertainment's Blu-ray treats it just as special, adding zero bonus features to the disc. —Rod Lott
