Re: “Cover Story: The brunch bible: Your guide to metro brunch

This came up on a search for brunch. Any chance of getting a 2019 update?

Re: “Capitol Hill’s Coney Island wiener- in-a-bun shop has been serving them up red hot with chili, cheese and onions for generations.

I happened to be around in 1967, when Bill Mihas first bought Coney Island. I was located on Harvey next to the old Midwest Theater. A few years later he moved it up on Main to make room for Urban Renewal.

Re: “Cover: What we ate in '68

I miss all these wonderful places to go out and eat, but now most are gone or moved north to Edmond. I can't afford the gas just to find a nice place to eat. I don't have the money I use to spend eating out. Wish I had that back. No, my part of town once a very busy place with cafeterias, Mexican, and buffet with the best and finest cooking ever. OKC is a 1 Star restaurant experience compared to what we no longer have or the money to enjoy my favorite past time with good food.

Re: “Gazedibles: Tasty bird

I'm going to toss in the mesquite grilled chicken at El Primo Loco since that one was overlooked.

Re: “Bar work

Man, Gazette!!

I really wish you would've checked a few sources before you printed this.
The last paragraph is completely fabricated, and Mr. Pickering has never been paid for his services. Actually, there are multiple people who came together to help Lee Morris with his sudden and rushed purchase that have never been compensated for their hard work.
Mister Morris never "sold his shares" to any restaurant in Oklahoma City. Ever.
I really wish you would have done a bit of fact checking before you decided to waste your talent and ink to print.

Re: “Neighborhood legacy

Thanks a lot for your thorough article , we at Rays appreciate your honest review and we will try to better ourselves in every possible way . One thing need to be mentioned though : We do not use pre packaged taco shells. We get tortilla and fry it in the kitchen by order. We work on the shape to look good and you probably thought its so perfect that it couldnt be fresh!

Re: “Convenience price

Thank you for the very fair article Jacob.
You did a great job getting several different, informed perspectives.
I appreciate you allowing me to be a part of it.

Re: “European delight

I wasn't there on the first day they opened, but it's now I try to stop in at least twice a week! The food is as good as it looks! Anything you select will be the best version of it you will have ever experienced! My favorite line when I tell people about Ganache is 'Every day you wait is a day you will regret.'

Re: “Welcome return

The "original" Sean's Irish Pub was in the Colonade (9600 N May Ave). When it closed, he led an infamous march south on May to Lakeside.

Re: “Gazedibles: Smokin’ time

Robert, It would appear that we have placed some of the photos under the wrong restaurant online. In print all is good. This is being corrected. Thanks for the catch. They all look like amazing places.

Re: “Gazedibles: Smokin’ time

George's doesn't have fryers, did you even go to these places or just shop for whoever gave the office catering samples

Re: “Gazedibles: Fresh wheels

OIFTA does not even exist anymore and is not the expert on food trucks as they are biased towards any food truck that was not part of their association when it was in effect. I suggest a food truck cook off for all food trucks to really determine the best in Oklahoma City as this list is biased!!!
