Two local newspapers recently published stories about an ailing camel that was near death until a local boys' ranch seems to have healed the common desert animal. If only someone had come up with a better name for the four-legged friend.
The Edmond Sun first reported the story of one Forrest Hump back in January. Then, last week, The Oklahoman also told Forrest Hump's tale, for those who may have missed it the first time around.
Both publications described Forrest as a "special-needs camel," who was donated to the Boys Ranch Town in Edmond in 2005. According to the stories, Forrest has a deformity in his joints and has been unable to walk correctly. At times, the ranch staffers thought they were going to lose the camel, but the power of prayer and love apparently brought him back up on his hooves suddenly last year. Now Forrest can make his appearance in the ranch's annual Christmas pageant, which has been going on since 1973, according to the Sun.
Surely by now, a thought (albeit sick and twisted " this is Chicken-Fried News, after all!) has come to mind: Forrest Hump? What kind of a name is Forrest Hump? Well, as you might have guessed: It's a porn name.
Two movies of the adults-only style have been made with "Forrest Hump" as the main character, parodying the Oscar-winning film "Forrest Gump," starring Tom Hanks. The first came out in 1996, with the caption: "My pants are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get."
The title was also used for an amateur porn video " er, or so we're told.
