The Donkeys will make you feel good. The San Diego foursome and indie darlings bring retro charm and sweet, bell-tone vocals that soothe with layered coos and melodic ahhs. Nashville singer/songwriter Corinne Chapman has a catchy country twang and writes with a wide-eyed wanderlust, tinged with ambling experience. Her voice is sweet, her music is catchy, and the songs on her 2007 self-titled full-length release are unpretentious and immediate. She has penned tunes for Jo Dee Messina and Shanna Lynn, and is currently on tour in Texas and New Mexico. She will pull into Oklahoma City for a 9 p.m. Tuesday show at the Blue Door.
