It was a full on cluster, but High Times in Oklahoma seemed unmissable. Something to tell the grandkids perhaps. Im in my second 1/2 century and in good shape, but after more than three hours standing in line in full sun, I was having a hard time. My Fitbit registered over 6,000 steps. Picture people throwing cold water bottles over metal fences and attendees rushing with outstretched dollars. Interestingly, the price of water increased as you got closer to the entrance. The place was full of pop up entrepreneurs. People were charging money to let u walk through fields promised as shortcuts. Best five dollars Ive ever spent. There were only two workers handing out bracelets when I got mine. I only saw 3 food trucks, and we scowered the place. I couldnt find a preroll to purchase anywhere. I saw a woman on a walker with wheels stuck in the mud. Really???? My suggestions would be: four wheel drive food pushcarts, trash cans, places for people to sit down periodically, restrooms, drink carts, free shuttles for those with ailments or everyone, more food, paramedics stationed along line, more than one entrance, and more than two people handing out bracelets. Definitely. If someone had been selling T-shirts and lighters along the line the cash would really have been flowing.
