That not your thing? The festival will have food, and is located in the heart of Bricktown, 200 S. Mickey Mantle.
“You can come down and spend the weekend in Bricktown,” said artist Russel Cooper, assistant for the festival. “Go to dinner, see a ballgame and then talk to the artists and see what inspires them.”
The best part of the festival, he said, will be Saturday’s inaugural silent auction benefiting the nonprofit Limbs for Life. The auction includes several donated pieces of art.
Don’t be worried about potential triple-digit heat. Cooper said last year, the temp was more than 100 degrees, but everyone had a blast. Lots of water will be available, and vendors will be located in the shade.
“No matter where you go, you’re going to run into the heat,” Cooper said. “You can always pop into the air-conditioned buildings of Bricktown.”
