By mid-March, Bricktown Brewery will be settled into its third location, previously a Garfield’s eatery, on Kickapoo Street in Shawnee, just off I-40.

The new locale will be exteriorly similar to the downtown Oklahoma City restaurant, said Marilyn Ruggles, vice president of marketing for the Edmond-based Enduring Brands.

“You will see brick, and when you walk in, you’ll know that it’s a Bricktown Brewery,” she said.

Enduring Brands has been looking to expand Bricktown Brewery, Ruggles said, and Shawnee seemed like the perfect mesh for the company’s concept of catering to young professionals and local families.

Enduring Brands hopes this new restaurant and brewery becomes an integral part of the community. It will add roughly 50 jobs to the Shawnee area, Ruggles said.

The new location will feature even more beer than the Bricktown original, featuring at least 15 taps and 35 different bottles, according to Ruggles.

She said she is confident that the restaurant will be well-received in the Pottawatomie County town.

“Anywhere you put a restaurant with good food, friendly service and a wide variety of beer, that is just a successful formula,” Ruggles said.
