Justice was swift for a man police believe stole a paycheck from an Oklahoma City mother of eight.

Silvia Hernandez had just cashed the check at a local food mart on SE 44th Street when Bufford Wilson, 52, “by force and fear” entered her car, according to KFOR.com.

“She got in her car and he opened the door, and that’s when he slammed her,” Hernandez’ friend told the TV station. “He grabbed her by the shirt and pushed her to her seat, and that’s when it happened.”

The victim gave the man her money — $422 — but not without a fight and a quick call to the police.

Police located and arrested Wilson and returned the cash. He was wanted for “several other violent crimes,” according to KFOR.com.

NEWS9.com elaborated, saying Bufford was wanted for another robbery at another food market located on Pennsylvania Avenue.

OKCFOX.com also reported he was wanted for a Blaine County burglary.

“It makes her sad to see people like that,” Hernandez’ friend told KFOR.com. “They should work for what they want.”
