What would you get if you put all your favorite chocolate desserts from around the metro in one place?

Besides euphoria, that would be the 2012 Chocolate Festival, which is even more special this year because its host, Firehouse Art Center, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

As the sole annual fundraiser for Firehouse, they bank on all those chocolate lovers showing up and delighting in the day. All proceeds from ticket sales support children’s art education, exhibits and programs at the art center.

Metro eateries donate samples of their best chocolate desserts for the festival, which was voted “Best Local Festival” in Norman Transcript’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards and featured on the Food Network.

For the youngsters, the festival will provide free activities to promote art education, with a chance to design their own vision for the Firehouse Creative Cube Project. Learn more about that by visiting their page on Facebook. The contestant with the most popular idea will come away with free art classes and tickets to Chocolate Festival 2013.

Get out and indulge in some delicious and creative chocolate creations, and support art awareness in Oklahoma at the same time!

Get your tickets at the Firehouse Art Center or by calling 329-4523.
