Corbin Bleu comes to Oklahoma City for a concert

Wait, who's Corbin Bleu? Ask your preteen daughter.

Bleu is the 19-year-old heartthrob star of Disney's "High School Musical" franchise who's not named Zac Efron. And like many of his fellow "HSM" cast members, he's a multimedia threat with a cozy record deal. His debut album, "Another Side" was released in May 2007, with such pop R&B tracks as "Homework," "We Come to Party" and "Push It to the Limit" " all songs he potentially could sing when he takes the stage at 7 p.m. Sunday at Frontier City, 11501 Northeast Expressway.

The mop-headed youth also has flexed his pipes on the several-times-platinum soundtracks for "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2," in which he plays Chad Danforth. It's a role he'll reprise when "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" hits not the cable box, but a theater near you, on Oct. 24.

His movie musical résumé also includes the 2007 Disney Channel telefilm "Jump In!" and the first episode of "Hannah Montana."

One day prior, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, another kid-friendly concert takes over the park as "American Idol" fifth-season favorite and unfortunate "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" contestant Kellie Pickler brings her brand of small-town country to Frontier City.

The park's concerts are free with paid park admission, which is $27.99 for adults and $19.99 for children up to 48" tall. For more information, call 478-2140.
