Howl at the moon, kids! Oklahoma Children's Theatre presents "Coyote Tales," starting today through April 26 in the Burg Theatre at Oklahoma City University, 2501 N. Blackwelder.
Based on conventional folklore from Mexico and the American Southwest, "Tales" is a production comprised of colorful adventures. Speckled with Spanish-language dialogue, the stories follow Señor Coyote, a mischievous carnivore with a mounting plate full of troubles that at times seems to outweigh his appetite.

Christi Knight, Oklahoma Children's Theatre box office manager, said Linda Daugherty's play is bursting with legends and adventure.
"The show is really geared toward upper-grade school. The kids definitely enjoy the trickery of Coyote, and all the pranks the animals play on him," she said. "Whether they trick him into thinking the moon is a big, round piece of cheese, or there is a hailstorm outside when they are really throwing rocks at him, the animals always have something up their sleeve when it comes to Coyote."
Showtimes are 11 a.m. Wednesday through Friday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $5 for children 2-12 and $7 for ages 13 and older. A $4-per-child rate applies for groups of 20 or more kids. For more information, call 951-0011 or visit visit their site.
