Dog-gone fun

To commemorate the event, Scholastic Books recently held a sweepstakes to award Clifford birthday parties to five lucky winners nationwide, each of whom could invite 50 friends and family members.

As it turns out, a Oklahoma City boy was one of those select victors!

Well, a 70-year-old Oklahoma City boy. John McKeel, in fact.

But before you cry foul that a child was denied, a publicist told CFN, “He’s a grandfather, and I understand he’s invited all his grandkids and their friends. Should be a fun event for them.”

Congrats, John! (And for the record, CFN’s favorite Clifford book is 1999’s Clifford and the Halloween Parade. It speaks to us.)
