Everything must go!

The executors of the estate of Rue McClanahan — who was born in Healdton and grew up in Ardmore, in case you didn’t know — have been holding an online estate sale. McClanahan died of a brain hemorrhage in 2010 at the age of 76.

Her wardrobe as the flirtatious, man-chasing southern belle Blanche Devereaux on The Golden Girls was
quite impressive. Each piece was made by designer Judy Evans
specifically for the show, and McClanahan had it written into her
contract that she could keep the clothes. In fact, she often wore them
in her everyday life off screen.

Many items of clothing, jewelry, awards, photos of the cast of The Golden Girls and Mama’s Family and personal effects are included in the sale.
