Google-eyed for Inhofe

Protesters gathered at Google’s Mountain View, Calif., headquarters last week to present a 50,000-signature petition opposing the company’s cozy relationship with Inhofe, who calls manmade climate change “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”

(We think he’s letting Justin Bieber off the hook with that one, but whatev.)

A
Google spokesman notes that the company disagrees with Inhofe on
climate change, but that they share an interest in Oklahoma, where
Google has invested some $700 million in two data centers.

Well, we declare! All this hullabaloo over little ol’ us? Why, you’re making us blush, kind sir.

Inhofe
appears to be enjoying the rancor. A few days after the July 11
fundraiser, his campaign sent out an email urging folks to “join our
fundraiser and upset the environmentalists by donating $25.”
