Inaugural Oklahoma City halloween parade, party is Oct. 25

Worried that there are going to be tons of fun things for the kiddos, but nothing for the grown-ups to do come Halloween? Well, look no further, grown-ups.

The inaugural Oklahoma City Halloween Parade & Costume Party starts 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Automobile Alley. It is a celebration of our city's creativity and costume party for adults, organizers said.

The parade itself will be a mobile spectacle from individuals, groups or organizations and businesses celebrating the pinnacle of creativity that OKC offers.

Following the parade is the Auto Alley Costume Party, where floats will park, bands will perform and the party continues.

After the parade, there also will be an exclusive Zombie Ball, a ticketed event at the 800 block of Broadway Avenue, with live music, food and beverages.

This year's event support comes from Automobile Alley, Downtown OKC, Inc., the City of Oklahoma City, OKC Events and Entertainment, and many other local sponsors.

The parade is free, and tickets to the Zombie Ball can be purchased at Party Galaxy locations.

More information about the event, including how to volunteer and participate, will be announced soon, organizers said.
