If the kids are already saying they are bored this summer, then it's lights, camera, action!

Harkins Bricktown Cinemas 16, 150 E. Reno, once again presents its "Summer Movie Fun" program: 10 movies over 10 weeks for a total of $5. Tickets went on sale in April, and the first showing is "Charlotte's Web," starting Monday. The movies screen at 9:45 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Melissa Rich, spokeswoman for Harkins, said this program aims to provide a fun and cheap activity for families throughout the summer.

"Basically, you are paying about 50 cents a movie," she said. "These are films over the past year or so that have been very popular with the kids, and this program has been incredibly successful over the years. It's an easy way to get out of the heat and do something with the kids out of school for the summer."

Rich said summer schools can get a further discount by buying a certain amount of tickets in bulk.

"(It's a) lot of day cares and a lot of schools and a lot of just parents getting together with their friends and their kids to have fun," she said.

Some of the other films include "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," "Shrek the Third," "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel," "Planet 51," "Astro Boy" and "Monsters vs. Aliens."
