The Black Liberated Arts Center celebrates the 25th anniversary its inaugural jazz and blues festival, which has featured artists like Ralph Ellison, Isaac Hayes and George Benson. This year, 12 jazz, blues and R&B bands from the U.S. and Europe will perform. Smooth New York jazz artist Najee will headline, and the first evening is free. Normanites known June means jazz. The free, annual Jazz in June festival returns to the Sooner city for its 27th year, with artists like The Bad Plus, Guy Forsyth and Suzanna Choffel. The three-day event starts with a blues celebration under the stars and finishes with two days of jazz. Thursday and Friday's concerts stage at Brookhaven Village, 3700 W. Folk Festival

The 13th annual WoodyFest returns to the folk icon's hometown of Okemah for a concert series celebrating the life and legacy left by the musician and activist. The free, multi-day festival features indoor and outdoor stages, along with kids' events and community outreach activities. Arlo Guthrie, Terri Hendrix, John Wort Hannam and other national and local artists are set to perform. For three days, 30 bands will descend upon the Zoo Amphitheatre for the inaugural Rock N America festival, a concert that revives 1980s heavies like Scorpions, Ratt, Twisted Sister and Warrant.
