If it be adventure ye bilge rats seek, set sail Thursday for port Southern Oaks Library and return a true buccaneer.

The mutiny begins 6 p.m. at the library, 6900 S. Walker, which will honor Talk Like a Pirate Day, an annual celebration observed by scallywags everywhere.

The event has become a popular rallying point for young scrogs, said John Hilbert, the young adult services librarian and event captain.

He said young landlubbers will learn proper pirate speak and be regaled with tales of rough seas and black sails, and have a chance to scavenge for their own buried treasure.

Worry not about a hornswoggle, young privateers " Cap'n Hilbert promises there's booty to be found. For more information, call 631-4468.
