Spring is right around the corner. Time to start thinking about your garden.

Specifically, it’s time to start thinking about the vegetables and herbs you can grow right alongside your ornamentals to make your garden practical and beautiful all at the same time. Worried about your tomatoes? Have no luck with rutabaga? Don’t fear; Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service is offering a workshop to decrease your workload and stress. Learn tips for every part of the process, from soil preparation to shortcuts on maintenance.

The workshop is 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service, 930 N. Portland Ave., and is free to the public. For more information, call 713-1125 or visit oces.okstate.edu. — Gazette staff
