Who cut the cheese?

Considering it’s the 37th annual celebration of cheese in Watonga, Okla., the answer is probably, “A lot of people.”

Rebranded as the Watonga Cheese and Wine Festival (because who wants to eat cheese without sipping wine?), the event — 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Saturday — promises Swiss, cheddar and Merlot in ample supply.

This year’s festival will include a statewide wine competition, live entertainment, crafts, an art show and a wide range of cheeses to try. A twoday pass is $5, and guests 12 and under can attend for free. In order to enjoy the wine part of the festival, guests must be 21 or older. — Gazette staff
