Lil' Wayne wants back in the 'Peake

The oft-troubled rapper announced a slew of dates that includes an August 21 stint in Oklahoma City – a place in which he claimed he felt “unwelcome” and “unwanted.”

In case you forgot, here’s a refresher: Wayne had requested courtside seats to an OKC Thunder-San Antonio Spurs playoff game last year but was denied entry to the sold-out event because he did not possess a ticket.

Therefore, an existing ticket holder would have had to relinquish a courtside seat to Wayne — a multi-platinum recording artist — but apparently none of them preferred to watch the game from their living room couch.

Of all the nerve!

At the time, a Thunder exec noted that “like anyone else, he needs a ticket.”

Wayne would eventually get his wish, acquiring a courtside seat, albeit begrudgingly, for Game One of last year’s NBA Finals in OKC.

His return to the arena comes as a surprise, however, considering his manager — a professional, mind you — encouraged Wayne to boycott the city altogether.

But Wayne will likely be afforded the spotlight at his event, and on his own terms. Which, we all know, is all the poor fella really wants.
