Norman jail detainee allegedly plots smelly escape

Anyone remember Garbage Pail Kids? The gross trading cards featuring Cabbage Patch-style dolls with disgusting names were all the rage for about three quick seconds? Apparently not everyone remembers in Norman.

According to The Associated Press, Andrew Lawarren Johnson attempted to escape the Cleveland County Jail by hiding out in a trash can. Nothing like hoping to gain your freedom along with the three-day-old meatloaf special when the garbage gets taken out.

Clever deputies at the jail, however, were one step ahead of Johnson's messy escape plan and, according to Undersheriff Rhett Burnett, Johnson was pulled from the smelly spot last Tuesday. He hadn't even made it out of the jail's secure area.
